All the things that I am bad at—hosting a party, talking to children, standing against a bar in a non-sleazy way—contribute to being better at one thing: writing.
This blogfolio is perhaps the most extroverted I get, a time capsule of what I was writing and when. The works shared here represent a chronological slice of my writing career, hence my most recent stuff is always at the top.
I blog a lot about the act of writing. Not in a how to write sense, but more as a discussion point on how not to give up, in the permanent “why did I ever think I could…” sense. I hope that the starters I provide on my blog can be the catalyst for your own enduring creativity.
I also like to imagine myself as a digital optimist, which means I’m optimistic for the future of the Internet and the opportunities it offers literature and reading. Hence a big part of why I blog is to explore these opportunities, and how they relate to readers, writers and publishers.
If you are a new writer, or an old one, a publisher or a digital innovator, I would love to hear your ups and downs, digressions and viewpoints. You can leave a comment at the bottom of any post, or send me an email through the contact page.
If you would like to publish any of the work you read here, please get in touch.
