insight book trailer
The trailer for Diana Greenwood’s book Insight arrived in my Vimeo list a few weeks ago and I have watched it at least a dozen times since.
Although not likely to get on my must read list for 2011, the trailer is very nice – the best so far this year. The trailer was produced by Mike Heath of Magnus Creative and is probably the closest thing to a “visual blurb” I have seen for a while – a technique well suited to genre stories driven by a strong plot/premise.
Let me know your thoughts.

Not bad at all. Though I think the ‘reverse halfway to go back to the beginning’ thing has been done a few too many times before this for it to be as effective as it might have been. But yeah, definitely an appropriate and well-shot trailer. Thanks for linking.
Yeah agreed. I’m still giving it props though, just because I’ve never seen it in a book trailer before.
Not sure how I stand on book trailers. Though come to think of it, would love to do a trailer for my poetry book. Though hang on, there would be heaps of shooting, an assassination, Obama being totally swarthy and handsome and Gil Scott Heron wandering around in the middle of a a ‘swine flu’ epidemic. Maybe not
. I’d never have the budget
